Parks: Neil Alexander
The many live-oak filled parks and lush public areas in the Lower Garden District, including Coliseum Square and Annunciation Park, are this committee's major concern.
Maintaining the beauty, preserving the historical significance and cultivating the rebirth of these lovely parks is a humbling task. We're looking for volunteers who will meet with city planners, keep current with city Parks & Parkways efforts, and assist the city in the maintenance and beautification of our natural resources.

House Tour 2007
The annual Spring tour of Lower Garden District homes is our primary fund raiser. Always fun and exciting, the House Tour Committee is in need of many volunteers to assist guests, visitors, locals and tourists who flock to see our display of historic, elegant, restored and polished jewels. Volunteers needed today for hosts, hostesses, guides, servers, docents, ticket sales, and smiling faces.
Newsletter:
The newsletter committee creates and publishes a membership newsletter four times per year. This newsletter is mailed to all members and is our way of imparting information significant to the residents and businesses in the Lower Garden District. Volunteer positions include writers, photographers, and artists.
Web Site: Lewis Routh
Designing and maintaining the Coliseum Square Association's web site is a fun and exciting project. We're especially looking for volunteer photographers, writers, computer graphic artists, web site designers, and those with a knowledge of HTML, DHTML, and interested individuals wanting to learn. Currently, the site is prepared using Adobe PhotoShop, ImageReady, Illustrator, and GoLive Cyber Studio.
Neighborhood Clean Up:
Several times a year, the neighborhood gets a "pick-me-up" from this noble committee of dedicated residents! Without the many volunteers, who boldly sweep and pick-up the litter, the Lower Garden District wouldn't be the shining example it is. Volunteer opportunities include anyone with a love of out doors and an eye for trash.
Children's Events:
We love our resident children and we prove this several times a year with our special children's events. If you like kids, have kids, or still want to be a kid, volunteer today! We need volunteer party planners, clowns, jugglers, talented individuals and fun folks with big hearts!
Additional Board Members: Phil Guidry; Mike Moreau; Cynthia Dubberley; Dean Howard; Sylvana Joseph; Nikki Bloodworth; Frank Cole; Betsy Dowling; John Enochs; Cheryl Gerber; Linda Ibert; Robert Wolf; Ian McNaulty and Rita Samona.
